A dug-up service road between Vidyut Chowk and Gangotri Apartments in Sector 12, Dwarka, has made life tough for the residents living on the stretch.
Residents of societies such as Nav Sanjeevan Apartments, Vimal Apartments, Ishwar Apartments, Sahyadri Apartments, Sri Hari Apartments and Gangotri Apartments are the ones affected by the problem. They said a part of the road had been excavated by the electrical department a couple of months back on order to lay cables. They completed their work but left the road as it is.
"More than half of the road was excavated but nothing was done to repair it," said NC Mishra, president of the Sri Hari Apartments managing committee. "We use the road quite frequently and these past two months have been a nightmare. It needs to be repaired immediately."
"We had coordinated with DDA to get this service lane repaired before the electrical department ended up excavating half the road," said PC Xavier, member of the managing committee of Sahyadri Apartments. "The concerned agencies must work in tandem to ensure such inconveniences are avoided. The electrical department should have coordinated with the civil department to ensure we residents don't face any problem."
A DDA engineer City Spidey spoke to, assured us of immediate action on the road repair.
