Residents of Divine Meadows in Sector 108, Noida, have been waiting for their own clubhouse-cum-banquet hall for close to two years now. The builder was supposed to deliver the facility by mid-2015, but there is no progress on the work for months.
"There is no construction going on for the past six months," said Dhiraj Kumar, a resident. "Whenever we try to discuss the topic with the representatives of the builder, they tend to avoid it. The maintenance staff has no idea when the club house will be ready."
Surendra Kushwaha, president of the society's homebuyers association, said none of the builder's top officials have visited the society in the past three months. "The maintenance manager is trying to avoid meeting the residents as they have no answer to give."
When City Spidey contacted Rajeev Sharma, director of the project, he said 30 per cent of the work had been completed. He agreed that the progress of the club house was slow and attributed it to the lack of funds. "We are trying our best to get the clubhouse ready but it is not possible to give a date of completion at the moment."
