Delhi Police asked DMRC to terminate its services after 11.30 pm on March 19 until further notice, as Jat protests for job and education quotas are likely to aggravate on March 20.  

All Metro stations outside Delhi to remain shut from March 19

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has shut all Metro stations outside Delhi from Sunday night onwards until further notice from Delhi Police.

Delhi Police asked DMRC to terminate its services after 11.30 pm on March 19, as Jat protests for job and education quotas are likely to aggravate on March 20.  

According to DMRC, services will not be available on Line 2 (Guru Dronacharya to Huda City Centre), on Line 3 (Kaushambi to Vaishali), Line 4 (Noida Sector 15 to Noida City Centre) and on Line 6 (Sarai to Escorts Mujesar). 

Apart from the stations outside Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Lok Kalyan Marg, Janpath, Mandi House, Barakhamba Road, RK Ashram Marg, Pragati Maidan, Khan Market and Shivaji Stadium in Delhi will also remain closed from 8 pm onwards on March 19 until further notice.   

Interchange facility will be available as usual.
