FedAOA, an apex body of apartment owners associations in Ghaziabad, is set to meet Sunil Sharma, the newly elected BJP MLA from the Sahibabad assembly seat, over issues faced by Indirapuram residents.

Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, patron of FedAOA, said that during the last five years, Amarpal Sharma, the previous Sahibabad MLA from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), was preoccupied with areas such as Shaheed Nagar and Khora Colony. These areas are considered primary vote banks. Therefore, he could not look into issues in Indirapuram.

“Sunil Sharma has been more connected with residents and their issues. He also fought for the implementation of UP Apartment Act and Real Estate Regulatory Authority Act in the city," said Kumar.

The main issues to be discussed with the MLA include sewer blockage, Ganga water supply and handover of societies from builders. Other issues on the table include formation of lift act, encroachments and pollution from a stone crusher near Ahinsa Khand II. FedAOA will also raise the issue of women’s safety and corruption in Ghaziabad Development Authority.

"We have already discussed the issues with the MLA's team. The meeting will probably be held on Saturday," added Kumar.

Confirming the meeting, MLA Sharma told City Spidey that all issues of the residents will be discussed in the meeting. "Anti-corruption has been the main agenda of BJP  and we will initiate action against violators. There is still time for corrupt officials to mend their ways and if they don't, they will face the music," added Sharma.
