Buyers of Amrapali Heartbeat City in Sector 107, Noida, celebrated April Fool Home Buyers Day at the project site on April 2.
Homeowners also sent mass tweets to UP Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi with the hashtag #GharDilwaoYogiJi.
They complained that the builder took fresh payments between January and February, but stopped construction in March, citing financial problems.
Puneet Parashar, a buyer, said, “The builder has already collected about 60-90 per cent of the price. The flats were to be delivered by June 2014, but till 2017, no work was carried out at the site. On top of that, the builder took fresh payments in 2017 and again stopped construction. The builder has made complete fools of us. Therefore, on April 2, we celebrated April Fool Home Buyers Day,” Parashar added sarcastically.
"We have sought the chief minister’s intervention. Non-delivery of flats has become a normal practice in Noida these days," he concluded.
