NMRC bus service for Rajat Vihar residents?

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has decided to conduct a feasibility study of M1+ route of the city bus service that covers Sector 15 Metro station, Noida Authority office, Metro Hospital (Sector 12), sectors 56, 57 and 54, and Spice Mall to identify ridership catchment areas.

The decision came after residents of Rajat Vihar, a residential society in Sector 62, Noida approached NMRC and demanded to divert route of feeder buses through Maithli Marg, a road that passes between sectors 55 and 56 and leads to Rajat Vihar.

BS Khati, general secretary of Block C RWA, Rajat Vihar, told City Spidey, “I have been demanding the feeder bus service to cater to our area since the time the service began. It’s been observed that the NMRC buses ply on roads regularly but don’t have many takers.”

“If our demand is met, the ridership will increase. Commuters from sectors 55 and 56, and blocks A, B and C of Rajat Vihar will avail the service. Many commuters from these areas are relying on private auto rickshaws,” he added.

Sandeep Raizada, officer on special duty, city bus service, NMRC, told City Spidey, that a survey of route M1+ will be conducted within one or two days. “A decision to add the proposed route will be taken on basis of the survey report,” he added.
