The joint forum of Vasundhara Enclave societies has decided to become more active on developmental issues in the area.

The members in a meeting on April 9 discussed the day-to-day issues faced by societies and individuals, such as water shortage, sewage and encroachments. The meeting was presided over by Anil Pandey, president of the forum.

"Problems residents have been facing over the past few years could not be resolved because we could not present the issue to the authorities properly," said Pandey. "The forum's job is not only to collect money from the society but also to spend it wisely."

“We need to be more active with our work," said JP Sharma, general secretary of the forum. "Earlier, we had members who were more hands-on. The situation has changed over the past few years. Even government authorities are not taking us seriously. We have to run from pillar to post to even get a tiny work done. We need to pull our socks up."

SK Yadav, one of the members of the forum who lives in CEL Apartments, suggested that the joint forum be given credit for any development work it carries our or helps get done. "Residents of the area need to know what we are doing, so they are aware of our contribution," said Yadav.
