Gurgaon: Haryana CM takes stock of infrastructure development

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on April 15 visited Gurgaon and took stock of the delayed road and infrastructure projects. The three-hour tour started from the Delhi-Gurgaon border and continued with rounds of defunct Sirhaul toll plaza, Golf Course Road, Southern Peripheral road, Hero Honda Chowk, Northern peripheral road and Dwarka Expressway.

Khattar directed the authorities to construct a cloverleaf U-turn in front of Ambience Mall so that commuters need not have to come from Rajokri flyover for going to Ambience Mall or Cyber Hub.

Haryana minister for PWD (B&R) Rao Narbir Singh and Jawahar Yadav, chairman of Haryana Housing Board accompanied the CM during the visit.

Khattar pulled up the concerned officers for the poor condition of roads and sanitation and asked them to ensure cleanliness across the city.

The underpasses and flyovers being constructed from Shankar Chowk to Golf Course Extension road will allow commuters to cover the distance in a mere 7 minutes instead of 40 minutes. The flyover on Dwarka Expressway is also nearly complete and it is likely to be opened to public by mid-May. Metro Connectivity in the city will also be extended so as to provide better public transport facility to the people.
