Ghaziabad: FedAOA reaches out to Yogi Adityanath

Federation of AoAs (FedAOA), an apex body of apartment owners associations in Ghaziabad, has approached the state government with a renewed list of demands on behalf of the residents.

In a letter addressed to Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the federation has raised a host of issues ranging from the absence of a local registrar office to insufficient Ganga jal supply. The letter has been sent to the CM through Sunil Sharma, the local MLA from Sahibabad.

Speaking to City Spidey, Alok Kumar, patron of FedAOA, said, “Most of the problems have become chronic. Poor connectivity, encroachments, pollution, corruption in government offices, erring builders and overflowing sewer lines have made life difficult for the residents.”

Apart from raising a new demand for opening a government-run generic medical shop in Indirapuram, residents have also resumed their demand for the proper implementation of the rules of Real Estate Regulatory Act that was rolled out in June, 2016. Residents and homebuyers had demanded its rollback soon after it was made public as ongoing projects were outside the ambit of RERA on multiple instances.

Residents of Indirapuram point out that they had approached the previous SP-led state government on several occasions, but to no avail. They also allege that there is a nexus between the builders and politicians of the previous government.
