MCG to take over Gurgaon colonies

Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) will take over Sushant Lok I, Palam Vihar and DLF (Phase I-III) in phases between May 15 and June 30.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting presided over by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar held at Chandigarh on April 19.

It was also decided that MCG, Town and Country Planning Department, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and the coloniser would make an assessment of deficient infrastructure and the maintenance cost for five years in the licenced areas, which primarily, is the responsibility of the coloniser.

It was also decided that after the consent of all the stakeholders on the modalities for transfer of a colony, MCG would initiate road improvement works in the colonies to be transferred.

Rajesh Khullar, principal secretary to chief minister;  Anand Mohan Sharan, principal secretary, Urban Local Bodies;  Arun Kumar Gupta, principal secretary, Town and Country Planning Department;  TL Satyaprakash, director-cum-special secretary, Town and Country Planning; V Umashankar, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Gurgaon, were present at the meeting.
