Sec 4, Gurgaon: Parents meet Blue Bells Model School management

Several parents of children studying in Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4, Gurgaon, met the school administration over rollback of fees hike on April 22.

They said they were not satisfied with the meeting and that the school has given them the option of paying the fees in three instalments. The first instalment has to be paid immediately.

Hundreds of parents also staged a protest outside the school and raised slogans against the management. Police personnel had to be deployed due to the protest.

Raman Jain, a parent, told City Spidey, “We are not satisfied with the school management’s decision. The school administration scheduled the next meeting on April 25. I don’t have much hope from this meeting either.  The school management seems to be adamant on their fee-hike decision. They told us that if we want to continue the study of our wards in the school, we have to pay the hiked fee.”

Rajddep Kaur, another parent, said, “If Tuesday’s meeting isn’t fruitful, we will meet D Suresh, divisional commissioner (DC), about the issue. Private schools are operating like business houses. There should be a check on them. They are taking a good amount of money in the form of development and annual charges. But there is no development taking place in the school.”

When City Spidey spoke to Suman Gulati, director, Blue Bells Public School, she said “ The final decision will be taken in next meeting.”

Parents had also protested against the school on April 1 and April 8.
