It was the perfect weekend for residents and office-goers, thanks to DLF 5. The two-day Horizon Plaza Festival, organised by DLF 5, witnessed over 1,500 people to congregate at the Horizon Center Complex for an evening of scrumptious food and soulful sufi ballads.

The festival had an impressive array of stylish food trucks, a flea market for the boho-chic, and a stand-up comedy act to digest all the delicacies one might have had. Sufi numbers by Niazi Nizami brothers enthralled the crowd.

Gurpreet Bhatia, on of the residents who attended the event, said the two-day extravaganza was an enjoyable affair.

There were attractions for kids too. There was a graphitti wall that allowed the children to go crazy with colours, hoopla performances and the kid-crowd favourite -- a theatrical performance of Mowgli from The Jungle Book.

“Horizon Plaza, a joint venture between global real-estate firm Hines and India’s DLF Ltd, has been conceived to be the Rockefeller Center of NCR with an eclectic mix of entertainment, fine-dining, quick-bite, retail and ATM options," said Monish Krishna, Senior Director at Hines India. "We received a heartwarming response for this festival and plan to do more interesting activities in the future to animate the Plaza.”

This two-day festival was aimed at familiarising people about this lifestyle destination, which is all set to become one of the hippest place in town.

Talking to City Spidey, Aakash Ohri, Executive Director, DLF 5, said, "At DLF 5, we strive to provide an unmatched living experience of global standards right here in Gurgaon. The Horizon Plaza Festival was an extension of the 'Live, Work, Play' concept, which DLF 5 embodies. We sought to engage with people and showcase the emergence of the property as a premium lifestyle destination. We are delighted by the response to the festival and look forward to organising similar initiatives in the future."
