Welcoming Kanchan Verma, residents paid her an introductory visit and acquainted her with the overall problems of the township.
Residents of Indirapuram and Crossings Republik in Ghaziabad met Kanchan Verma, the newly appointed vice-chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority, on April 24. The meeting was held under the aegis of FedAOA, the apex body of AOAs in Ghaziabad.
The meeting, meant to serve as an introduction, was a first of its kind.

Alok Kumar, FedAOA patron, said they wanted to acquaint Verma with the overall problems faced by residents. He added, “We gave her all the relevant documents and newspaper clippings that highlighted our problems. We also briefed her on the struggles and achievements of FedAOA. We will be meeting her soon to elaborate on these issues.”
Pooja Shrivastava from Crossings Republik said, “We have high hopes from her. We want her to support us in our struggles and help us extract basic amenities from the builder.”
Verma took charge as the new GDA vice-chairman on April 22. An IAS officer of the 2005 batch, she has already served as the district magistrate of Mirzapur, Amroha and Fatehpur. She was also the chief development officer of Gautam Buddh Nagar in 2009.
