East End Apts set to take a crucial decision next month

The managing committee of East End Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension is all set to call a general body meeting next month to finalise a vendor to replace the society's outdated elevators. The managing committee had reached a unanimous decision on replacing the lifts on January 15. BK Singh, the managing committee president, had formed a five-member panel to prepare a detailed report on the matter.

The panel comprises K Pasupathy (panel head), Mayank Agrawal, Parash Sharma, PK Agrawal and S Shankar.

City Spidey was informed that the panel had shortlisted two private lift providers — Otis and  Thyssenkrupp.

"We have called a general body meeting on May 7," said Pasupathy. "We, along with residents, will finalise a vendor at the meeting. We will compare the two vendors based on their prices, services and installation time and select the one offering us the best deal."

Earlier, the managing committee had decided to collect Rs 20,000 from each flat of its 29 multistorey buildings. Pasupathy hinted that there might be slight variations in the amount, to be determined only after a vendor was finalised.
