Residents of Gurgaon will now experience fast commuting as the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), more commonly known as Dwarka Expressway, will now be connected to NH 8. The task has been assigned to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), which will start work on this project soon.

The recent visit to inspect the Dwarka Expressway by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has given momentum to the project, which was constantly getting delayed. While Huda will hand over the land for the connecting road, Connecting Peripheral Road or CPR, NHAI will oversee its construction.

“We have already identified and acquired the land, and once we demarcate it, we shall be able to hand it over to NHAI for them to start work,” said Yashpal Yadav, Huda administrator.

To join the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and the CPR with the expressway, work on the proposed clover leaf will begin soon. It will help reduce the pressure of traffic on roads and travelling will get far smoother for commuters.

The SPR from the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road till Kherki Dhaula will be connected to the Dwarka Expressway through the CPR.
