Sohna Road RWAs Forum announces protest against CNG pump

The Sohna Road RWAs Forum of Gurgaon will stage a three-day protest against a forthcoming CNG pump on the road, owing to its location. The announcement of the protest, which will start on April 27, was made at a press conference.

The CNG station's position will block the entrances to various societies such as Sispal Vihar, South City II and Malibu Towne. The traffic disruption will also be a hassle to commuters taking Sohna Road to Faridabad.

Residents said the motorable width on this 30-m-wide road was only 7 m, and feared that it would get even more congested once the pump became operational.

Also, with the proximity of Park hospital and people using this road to reach Artemis hospital, the movement of ambulances would get restricted.

"Our intention is not to create problems but to peacefully put our point across," said Ved Prakash Yadav, a member of the RWA, South City II.

Adding to this, Major General SK Yadav, president of the Sispal Vihar RWA, said, “The traffic congestion owing to the CNG station's position will block our society entrance. The road stays busy during peak hours even now. With cars queuing up for gas, the situation will only get worse.”
