Why the guards of Gurgaon’s Garden Villas won't leave...

The RWA and the residents of Garden Villas, in DLF Phase 4, have provided them with a room, a toilet, a kitchen and other facilities, such as a TV and a cooler, to have them stay on.

Why do the guards of Gurgaon’s Garden Villas in DLF Phase 4, Sector 43, never want to leave? Because the residents treat them like family.

The guards have been provided with a room, a toilet, a kitchen and other facilities, such as a TV and a cooler. The guards, in turn, never want to leave their jobs, and wish to stay on forever.

Speaking to City Spidey, Madhusudan Choudhary, president of DLF City Federation, Phase 4, said, “For us, they are like family. On every festival, we ensure that they have food with us. While counting the heads for food, they are always included.”

He further added, “We have five guards — of them, four have been with us since the beginning. One has been provided by DLF, and since the colony has just one gate, we don’t need more.”

“The biggest advantage of the guard room is that we are able to save on rent, and we don’t have to commute, so we are saving both time and money,” said one of the guards.

Guard Lovelesh Kumar said, “I have been here since the colony came into existence in 2013, and now I don’t intend to leave this job. We are looked after so well and treated like family — and that means a lot!”

The feeling is the same with guards Shiv Chander and Ramesh Kumar.
