GURGAON

May 10: Balbir Singh, DCP (traffic), on the traffic snarls on the road running between sectors 30 and 31

“I have directed the Sector 40 SHO to deploy a PCR van and have deployed traffic personnel on the stretch to ensure smooth flow of traffic.”

May 7: V Umashankar, commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), on the encroachment drives that were carried out on the stretches between Rajiv Chowk and Badshahpur; Golf Course Extension and Westin Hotel; and Golf Course Extension and Badshahpur.

“We now have teams with designated areas to monitor encroachments. Shops and vendors found flouting orders will be fined.”

May 9: Raghvendra Yadav, executive engineer with PVVNL, on the problems with power supply in Amrapali Princely Estate and Amrapali Silicon City in Sector 76

“There is no disruption in power supply from our end. These societies receive round-the-clock supply from PVVNL. There is an issue of transformer-overload, which is causing the power failures. I am also aware of the builder supplying power to construction labourers. Both these societies need a new transformer each to cater to the increased power load. The builder has promised that there will be new transformers by next week."

May 9: Tejpal Nagar, MLA of Dadri, on the poor quality construction that led to a portion of ceiling plaster to fall on a resident of Supertech Ecovillage 1

"I will raise the issue with the chief minister of UP in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha in Lucknow this month. It is also the responsibility of Greater Noida Authority to check the quality of work at the time of issuing the completion certificate and the occupancy certificate. I will speak to the CEO of Greater Noida Authority over the issue.”

"The district administration was acting on behalf of the state government and in view of the alleged violations of CBSE's norms, the investigation was justified.  In case of forceful imposition of such holidays and depriving children of classes, we will definitely take action under legal provisions."

EAST DELHI

May 6: Manoj Trivedi, the PWD official in charge of Mayur Vihar area, on the new bridge over the canal near Sahyog Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase I been blocked

"A new road will be developed to cater to resident problems. Part of the area of the planned road falls under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government's irrigation department. If the department agrees, we will cover part of the canal and develop a bylane that connects to the Mayur Vihar area.”  

May 5: Manoj Trivedi, a senior Public Works Department (PWD) official and project manager of the third phase of the Barapullah flyover connecting Mayur Vihar I and Sarai Kale Khan, on the progress of the project that was to be completed by March 2017
