The newly elected Trilokpuri municipal councillor got together 30 senior citizens from 14 societies in Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension for a show of the record-breaking Baahubali 2: The Conclusion at Delite Cinema!
Does anybody want to miss Baahubali 2: The Conclusion? No one. And certainly not senior citizens of Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension. And imagine the fun when 30 of them go together!
Yes, 30 elders residing in 14 societies of Mayur Vihar Phase I Extension went for the record-breaking magnum opus yesterday. And who organised it all? The newly elected municipal councillor of the area!
Describing the experience to City Spidey, CP Mathur, a resident of Rosewood Apartments, said, “It has been nearly 10 years — or perhaps more — since I watched a movie on the big screen. I don't even remember what it was, but just that it was a Rajesh Khanna film. So when my friend Shiv Kapoor asked me to accompany me to Baahubali 2, I refused. But then, he told me our entire yoga group, comprising 30 members, was planning to go. No way I could say no to that.”

Umed Singh, a resident of United India Apartments, who also went with the group, said, "Why did ‘Katappa kill Baahubali’? has been doing rounds these days — the question has been playing on everybody’s mind. Now I know.”
Saroj Singh, the newly elected municipal councillor of Trilokpuri ward, has even booked a bus for them to go to Delite Cinema in Daryaganj.
Talking to City Spidey, Singh said, “I just wanted to interact with people of my ward. Our volunteers, who worked day and night during elections, were insisting on a movie, so I thought why not involve the residents too? So I invited all the senior citizens of my ward. It was an attempt on my part to reach out to them.”
