Your car or your bike could be in for a rough jolt.
Though Sohna Road is smooth, its service lanes are not.
And the residents and commuters have a harrowing time negotiating the potholed and badly damaged service lanes.
The scene is particularly bad around Vipul Trade Centre.
From Badshapur if one takes a U-turn towards Vipul Trade Centre, there’s a big pothole that has become a regular hindrance for bikers and cars alike.
“I am a resident of Sohna Road and use this service lane daily. The pothole is quite prominent. People who are aware of it take a wider U-turn to avoid it, but if you don’t know the lane, it can be very dangerous,” said Virender Singh, a real estate consultant.
A Gurgaon-based citizens’ platform, called the Local Circles, has taken up the issue with the authorities.
Manjeev Aggarwal from the group said, “I have my office at Vipul Trade Centre and need to negotiate this pothole every day. Last year, too, there was a similar issue, which was sorted out after we wrote to the prime minister. I am trying to get this service lane fixed and have informed the local authorities about it. Let’s see what happens.”
Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon officials were unavailable for comment.
