Noida: Sushant Megapolis buyers protest outside SSP office

About 100 members of the buyers association of Sushant Megapolis, a residential project in Greater Noida, staged a protest outside the office of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Sector 14A, Noida, on May 13.

Homebuyers allege that the builder has cheated them by making false promises and there was no sign at the project site to show that the project would be developed in the near future.

Pawan Verma, president of the association, told City Spidey, “We reached the SSP office at 9 am to lodge an FIR against the builder [Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Limited]. But the SSP wasn’t available in the office. His absence infuriated the buyers who had come from different parts of the city. They decided to protest outside the office.”

He added, “We wanted to lodge a complaint with the police but they are not responding to us. We will continue our protest here outside the SSP office until an FIR is lodged against the builder. About 100 people have invested in the project.”

However, when SSP Love Kumar addressed the protesters and sought time of one week to lodge complaint against the builder, the homebuyers ended the protest..
