Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has started carpeting the Sector 46 roads today. MCG has taken over the the sector recently and started the maintenance work with the long-pending problem of the sector, the roads.
"The roads in our sector are so bad that elders and children find it really tough to even walk on them," said Raj Kumar Yadav, RWA president of the sector. "Although it took the authorities six long years to finally get the work started, we are glad that we will finally have smooth roads. It will be a huge relief."
"It came to our notice that the 18-m-wide road that was supposed to come up along the sector's periphery has been cancelled. I appeal to the authorities to get that road ready as well."
PK Kardam, the executive engineer of MCG, said, "A letter needs to be submitted to MCG, requesting the construction of the 18-m wide road. Once that is done, we can discuss the nuances and prepare an estimate for it."
