What's that on the stairs of Divine Meadows? Oh, garbage rotting for four days..

The stench from garbage rotting for the past four days has left residents of Divine Meadows, a society in Sector 108, Noida, exasperated.

They complained that garbage was strewn all over the society and that the maintenance team had not done anything to clean the area. "The builder has hired just one person for the society's garbage collection," said Dhiraj Kumar, a resident. "The builder should immediately get more people."

Neha Minocha, another resident, expressed her displeasure at paying an exorbitant maintenance fee of Rs 1.5 per sq ft, that too for sub-standard services. "It is unhygienic, and the stench has been pervading the flats," said Minocha.  

Residents said they had been asking the builder to take immediate action on the situation but there had been no response for the past four days.

When City Spidey contacted Amit Maharshi, the estate manager of Divine Meadows, he said the problem had been solved and the society's maintenance team had started garbage collection from all towers this morning.
