Residents unhappy with the Authority's visit to Supertech Capetown

Why wasn't a senior official part of the team, they asked.

The planning team of Noida Authority today paid an inspection visit to Supertech Capetown, in Sector 74, Noida, to check for illegal construction and the provision of basic amenities to residents.

Residents had filed a complaint with Noida Authority on May 3 at a triparty meeting involving the builder. They had alleged that the builder was illegally constructing the Crown tower — with 19 storeys and 114 flats — in a demarcated green area of the society. They had also alleged that the builder had not provided them basic amenities.

Shyam Shankar, a resident, told City Spidey that the officials, during the visit, found incomplete work in the basements and a leaking water pipe. "About the illegal tower, they said they would match it with the original map sanctioned by the Authority and then submit a report to the CEO and the ACEO of Noida Authority," he added.

He, however, said residents were not satisfied with the visit. “There was no senior official on the team that came for inspection,” he said.

The chief architect of Noida Authority, Praveen Shrivastava, was not available for comment.
