Representatives of only 48 flats out of the 156 eligible turned up for casting votes.
Residents of HRC Professional Hub, a residential society in Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, elected members of their apartment owners association (AOA) on May 21.
Mohit Mishra, who was the former president of the residents’ body, got the most number of votes. He was followed by nine new members, namely Gaurav Jeet Singh, Manu Jain, SK Gujrania, Sanjeev Sandilya, Laxmi Singh, Shalika Babbar, KK Fotedar, Manoj Kumar and Paritosh Gupta.
Although the society has 300 flats, representatives of only 156 of them were eligible for casting votes. The rest did not have the requisite documents to take part in the election process. However, representatives of only 48 flats turned up for voting.
Of the 12 nominations initially submitted, one was declared invalid as it did not match the requirements.
The newly elected board of ten members is set to hold a meeting soon in order to select representatives for the designations of the AOA. Mishra told City Spidey that the new board would probably hold a meeting on May 21. “We will publish the designations as soon as they are decided,†added Mishra.
