â€œWe have to get the Khandsa bottleneck cleared. We are planning to offer alternative plots to owners whose structures come in the way of the drain-widening work. But we are better prepared this year. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has asked us to arrange for motor pumps to have the drains de-silted, and take other necessary measures to tackle waterlogging across the city.â€

"The Authority is just carrying out orders issued by the district administration and National Green Tribunal (NGT) and has no direct role to play in this. GDA did not issue any kind of NOC to builders for setting up borewells. According to NGTâ€™s order, all such borewells require NOCs from the CGWA.â€

Garbage is a major issue in the city and our aim is to implement the zero-garbage concept, which means all the waste produced in a particular area is disposed of or consumed within that area. I have planned to start the operation from Mayur Vihar I, my municipal ward. This concept is fairly new and will need cooperation from all residents to make it a success. I have discussed the concept with the residents and the RWAs of Mayur Vihar I and residents are willing to support it.â€
