About 25 to 30 children from various societies in Dwarka attended a workshop on acting and cinematography at the community hall of Green Valley Apartments, Sector 22, on May 28. There was also a session on production.

The workshop was organised by Dwarka Hello Moms, a women’s group in the sub city, and the session was taken by Pallavi Prakash Productions.

Raje Kurup, president of Dwarka Hello Moms, said, “We did this workshop so that children could get a chance on the small screen. We focused on TV skills as there is a chance for these children to become an actor, a cinematographer or a script writer in the cinema or TV industry. Representatives of some TV channels and production houses were also present to select fresh talent.”

Children also gave auditions to get a chance on TV. Saroj Sharma, joint secretary of Dwarka Hello Moms and a resident of Sadbhavna Apartments, Sector 22, said, “The auditions were for a forthcoming children’s film and a Hindi movie. Children were happy and enjoyed the session.”

After the workshop, the children were also given certificates.
