Smooth roads in Noida by June 15? Nope.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's promise to make all roads in the state pothole-free doesn't seem to be coming true. Clock's ticking...

Smooth roads in Noida by June 15? Nope.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's promise to make the state's roads pothole-free by June 15 may not be coming true. Residents of Sector 76 are irked with Noida Authority for not taking the issue seriously. They said the officials had not lifted a finger to repair the potholes on the road next to Aditya Celebrity Homes, a residential complex in their sector.

CM Adityanath had directed all agencies in March this year to ensure that all broken roads across the state were repaired by June 15.

"I don't think the officials will stick to the CM's directions," said Sachin Goyal, AOA president of JM Orchid, another residential society in the sector. "They didn't even pay heed to the broken roads in the sector, in spite of the numerous complaints we've lodged with the Authority."

"The broken road is a nuisance all year round. There's sand on the road, which causes dust to fly around every time a vehicle passes. When it rains, the road becomes slippery and mucky."

MC Tyagi, the project engineer, Noida Authority, told City Spidey that he would look into the issue. "I will send my juniors to visit the site and ensure that the road is repaired," he said.
