Escape, Gurgaon: Kids have a super busy World Environment Day!

Children living in Escape, a condominium in Sector 50, Gurgaon, had a rather busy day on World Environment Day. The society's theme for the occasion was 'Connecting People with Nature'.

Staying true to the theme, the day started with the society's children waking up at dawn to catch a glimpse of the early birds. Later, they planted saplings and cleaned up the society, picking up any trash lying about and throwing them into the society's dustbins.

But with enthusiasm and energy only kids are capable of, they then participated in a workshop on recycling, by Steam Lab.  The workshop was organised at the society's club house. Children of all ages assembled with old t-shirts, mason jars and scissors to participate. They also prepared a presentation on 'Save the Environment'.

"The environment is our health," said Shantanu Chowdhury, secretary of the society's RWA. "It is high time we start taking care of the environment and treat itwith the love and respect it deserves. This World Environment Day, we decided to pass on the baton to the next generation."
