Initially, Airtel had offered free WiFi to RWA members, but they managed to get WiFi installed at three of the sector parks, including Adarsh, Rao Tula Ram and Sadbhawna
The RWA of Sector 46, Gurgaon, has introduced free WiFi for its residents.
More than 5,000 families can now enjoy free WiFi at Adarsh, Rao Tula Ram and Sadbhawna parks of the sector.
“Airtel had offered free WiFi to the RWA members, but we thought of the residents too. So, we asked Airtel to provide WiFi in three of our parks, and they agreed,” said Raj Kumar Yadav, RWA president.
Subhash Sachdeva, a resident, said, “We friends come to the parks in the evening and enjoy listening to old music here. And now, we download as many songs as we want and the Internet speed is good too.”
As is wont to happen, the three parks are now seen teeming with residents.
Another resident Sapna Vashist said, “My child has already downloaded a few games and keeps asking me for my phone to download more. At least, he goes to the park in the evenings now, and doesn’t spend the time sitting at home watching television. ”
The area has 16 parks. The RWA is planning to make WiFi available at all the parks, soon.
