The society now has two male coaches and a lady instructor for its two pools. Now that a female instructor is around more and more women are taking to the waters.
Keeping in view the convenience of female residents of the society, the RWA of Park View Residency in Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, has hired a female swimming instructor.
“It just occurred to us that female members of our society were not being able to participate in swimming in the absence of a lady instructor. We, therefore, hired Anjali Rani, our new trainer,” said SC Kumar, RWA president.
So now the society has two male coaches and a lady instructor.
Deepika Nischal, a resident, said, “Female residents now feel more confident coming to the pool, so the footfall has increased too.”
Mansi Talwar, another resident, admitted, “Though our male coaches were extremely polite and professional, but even then, a female coach improves the comfort level.”
The society has two pools — one for men and the other for women.
The RWA spends Rs 50,000 every month on the pool’s maintenance to keep the water clean and germ free.
