This homebuyer has a question and The 3C Company better live up to its promise

Residents and homebuyers of Lotus Espacia and Lotus Boulevard (both in Sector 100) met up with officials of Noida Authority and The 3C Company today to resolve various builder-buyer issues. Here's a lowdown of the tripartite meetings chaired by Santosh Kumar, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Noida Authority.

Meeting with Lotus Espacia

Several buyers complained that despite having paid 95 per cent of the flat's cost way back in 2010, they were yet to receive their flats. They said the developer had promised to deliver their flats by 2013 but even after four years, many of them were forced to live in rented flats and pay hefty EMIs.

Buyers of Lotus Espacia said although the builder had delivered five of the total eight towers, the facilities provided for the 600 families living there for the past two years were a far cry from what was promised. They said the society's clubhouse was not yet operational and there was no gate for entry and exit.

Ajit Sodhi, a resident, told City Spidey that the developer was yet to provide Ganga water supply and electricity connection. "Water is being supplied to residents through tankers, which is unhygienic," said Sodhi. "The entire society runs on generators. Imagine the kind of noise and air pollution this is causing."

The meeting ended on a happy note when Vidur Bharadwaj, director of The 3C Company, assured residents that the society would have both Ganga water supply and an electricity connection by June 25. "The clubhouse will be ready by August 15," Bharadwaj promised.

Meeting with Lotus Boulevard

Buyers said the developer had given possession of 27 out of 30 towers. The homebuyers said they had booked their flats in 2011 and despite having paid 95 per cent of the total flat's cost, were still awaiting possession.

Sanjay Singh, a buyer, told City Spidey, "I am from a middle-class family and I have invested all my hard earned money in this project. Now, I want my money back with interest."

Bharadwaj said they will give the possession of flats in tower numbers 28 and 29 by August 1, while the remaining tower number 30 would be delivered by end of August.

Santosh Kumar, OSD, Noida Authority, said he had asked the developer to submit a tower-wise report of both projects within the next 10 days. The report would also be displayed on the builder's website. "The planning department team will inspect the site to follow-up on the builder's commitments soon," said Kumar.
