A leakage in the water supply pipelines has forced residents to depend on salty ground water.

Water supply to residents of Sector 34, Noida, has been disrupted for the last four days due to damage to the underground water supply pipelines. Residents have been forced to consume salty ground water.
Dharmendra Sharma, a resident of the sector, said, "We have been consuming ground water for the past few days as there was no water supply to our sector."
Residents raised the issue with the officers concerned and reported the damage. Officials are repairing the damaged pipelines on the main road of Sector 62 where water is leaking.
Vinod Sharma, junior engineer with the Authority, has assured residents that the supply would be resumed by the evening of June 10.
