Residents of Uniworld Gardens I on Sohna Road in Sector 47, Gurgaon, finally have respite from the underground water pipeline leakage on the service lane outside the condominium. After receiving repeated complaints, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) fixed the problem yesterday.

The upscale condominium houses 506 flats, with about 1,500 residents.

The leaking pipeline had led to stagnant water in the service lane, which comes under a HUDA green belt.

"For over a month we had been complaining to the authorities, but no action had been taken. The residents could not use the service lane even when driving, forget about walking,” said Nirlept Singh, RWA president.

Ajay Sharma, assistant manager of the property, said, “We had registered a complaint with MCG nearly a month back, as residents were facing trouble crossing the stretch.”

MCG spokesperson SS Rohilla said, “There's construction work happening all around the city, so the pipeline got ruptured. The problem has been solved now.”
