Noida's Citizen Charter app shows complaint status 'Resolved'. But is it?

A shocked Divine Meadows resident said the Authority hadn't even come to check on the problem, let alone 'resolve' it.

Noida's Citizen Charter app shows complaint status 'Resolved'. But is it?

Residents of Divine Meadows, a society on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway in Sector 108, have been complaining about the bad roads right outside their society, but to no good.

After Noida Authority failed to initiate action, residents complained on the Noida Online Citizen Charter, an app that was launched to address citizen issues. But even then things didn’t change.

Neha Minocha, a resident, told City Spidey that she had lodged a complaint through the app on July 13 last year. Much to her shock, she soon found that the app showed the complaint status as "Resolved", without anything having been done to "resolve" the issue.

“No one from Noida Authority even came to check the condition of the road, let alone carry out repairs," she said. "How can the Authority claim that the problem has been solved?"

Dhiraj Kumar, another resident, told City Spidey that the road had developed big cracks and potholes. "There have been quite a few incidents of two-wheelers skidding on the road," he added.

When City Spidey contacted Home Singh Yadav, chief engineer of Noida Authority, he said that the cost estimate for the repairs was ready and that it was just awaiting approval.
