The traffic police said commuters can sometimes make very helpful suggestions that go a long way in tackling traffic issues in the city.

Noida traffic police has invited suggestions from commuters on its Twitter handle to improve the traffic situation in the city.

Layak Singh, traffic inspector of Noida, told City Spidey, “We want public support to make traffic smooth in the city. Many times, there are very helpful suggestions that come from commuters.”

Commuters can leave their suggestions on the Twitter handle @noidatrafficpol.

The traffic police has asked for suggestions specifically for these routes:

1. Shahberi-Kisan Chowk-Partha Chowk-Sector 71 Chowk-Noida City Centre Metro Station-Sector 37-Mahmaya-Kalindi Kunj

2. Goal Chakkar-Rajnigandha Chowk-Atta Peer Chowk-Sector 37-Sector 49 Chauraha-Barola Tiraha-Bhangel T-point-NSEZ

3. Model Town-Fortis-Mamura Chowk-Manmura T point- Sector 60 Chowraha- Gijhore Tiraha-NTPC- Sector 31-Sector 25 Chouraha- Nithari T-Point-Nithari Police Chowki Tiraha- GIP-Film City- DND

“We have received 21 suggestions so far,” Singh said. “Complaints, on the other hand, are mainly about two things — enchroachments and wrong parking on roadsides. People have left several pretty helpful suggestions for U-turns at various points.”

Noida traffic police and Noida Authority will jointly consider the suggestions and take a call on implementing them.
