RWA Sector 48 demands removal of encroachment from vacant plots.

Dear Mr CEO, pl take note and act ASAP

Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA) has written to Noida Authority to draw its attention towards illegal jhuggis that have come up in two vacant plots of Sector 48.

Acting on the behest of the RWA President of Sector 48, Dinesh Bhati, FONRWA has written a letter to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida, Rama Raman, and has apprised him of the problems being faced by the residents of this sector.

Speaking to City Spidey, Bhati said that an application under the Right to Information Act (RTI) has revealed that the plots in question - C-12 and C-13, belong to the Noida Authority and have not been allotted to anyone. He said that jhuggis have been built on the vacant plots and the area has been converted into a mini-slum within the sector.

The dwellers of these jhuggis are causing  many problems for residents. The water used by people residing in these hutments flows towards the bungalows of residents of the sector and the stagnant water has become a breeding ground for mosquitos. Besides, slum dwellers burn dry leaves in the open area which leads to pollution.

MC Malik, a retired government servant, says that it is because of this breeding ground for mosquitos, his wife Usha Malik suffered from dengue. He said that she has recovered now but  several complaints lodged with the Noida Authority have fallen on deaf ears. Malik adds that the stagnant water stinks and poses serious health hazards.
