What's common between the French Open and Uniworld Gardens, Gurgaon? Both have clay courts!

Yes, residents of this society in Sector 47, Gurgaon, can now play tennis on a clay court. The society's RWA has been giving the society a makeover, with a focus on developing the sports facilities. The society already has a dedicated football ground for kids, a table tennis room and a swimming pool.

Since 2010, the RWA has been holding several sporting events for residents. The next such event will start this July, and the society is raring to go!

"Although we carry out renovation work every year, we thought of developing a clay court for tennis aficionados," said Nirlept Singh, president of the RWA. "It gives a sense of contentment when the efforts made by you are appreciated.”

The RWA has spent Rs 60,000 to develop the clay court.
