Eco Village residents and NEFOWA want to go the tripartite way

Homebuyers of Eco Village, a residential project in Greater Noida (West), and members of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) on Thursday met Debashish Panda, CEO of Greater Noida Authority, to discuss the delayed possession of flats. They demanded a tripartite meeting involving buyers, the developer and officials of the Authority.

Homebuyers said they had already paid 80 per cent to 90 per cent of the cost of the flat to the builder and that they were also having to pay rent.

Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA, told City Spidey that the developer had somehow obtained an occupancy certificate and a completion certificate from the Authority without the mandatory inspection.

“The CEO has assured us that he will take strict action against the builder, and will instruct Authority officials to conduct an inspection and cancel the occupancy and completion certificates of all projects where basic amenities are not being provided to residents. The CEO also directed his officials to fix the date and time for the tripartite meeting regarding this project,” added Kumar.
