Can't wait to see it once it's done!

DLF5, Gurgaon: This is what a sewage treatment plant should look like!

DLF5 is using mosaic and graffiti art to make the colony's sewage treatment plant (STP) more attractive. The idea is to create awareness about water conservation.

Their state-of-the-art STP is equipped to recycle waste water and minimise usage of groundwater. With a capacity to recycle up to 15 million litres of water per day, it is fitted with an ultra-filtration plant that significantly enhances the quality of the resultant water. The STP provides treated water across the DLF 5 condominiums, catering to the daily requirements of the residents.

The artwork is being carried out by Yogi Kumar, who is leading a team of 10 from Mini Mason, a group of mosaic artists from Gurgaon. The theme of the artwork installations is ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’.

Residents of DLF5 will also get a chance to do their bit in beautifying the STP.

Aakash Ohri, senior executive director, DLF5, said, “We at DLF5 understand the critical need to conserve water and preserve the environment for our future generations. As we revamp the exteriors of the sewage treatment plant, we believe this will help bring to life our narrative 'Hope Springs' and the theme of 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle'. The residents have shown a keen interest in participating. We will undertake similar initiatives in future for making Gurgaon greener and cleaner.”
