At Skytech Matrott, it's better to take the stairs

Residents of Skytech Matrott, a residential project in Sector 76, Noida, are having to deal with malfunctioning lifts in the society on a regular basis — despite repeated complaints to the builder.

“Just on Wednesday, Anuj Das, a resident of the society, was stuck in the lift for a good 20 minutes. Security guards have no knowledge of how to operate in such exigencies,” said a resident.

Gurpreet Singh, another resident, complained, “Residents are paying Rs 2.25 per sq ft as maintenance charges, but the builder provides us the lowest quality of services.”

He added, “Basic amenities such parking and firefighting system have not been provided. For some flats, even registry has not been done.”

The lifts don’t have CCTV cameras or intercom facility, compounding the risks.

When City Spidey contacted Raj Kumar, the estate manager of Skytech Matrott, he said, “We are working to provide the best to our residents. Some components of the lifts need to be changed, and we’ve applied for the same. The lifts will be working properly in two to three days.”
