Authority officials are currently carrying out a survey to mark the roads where these overbridges will be built. Work will start in the next two or three months.
To ensure the safety of pedestrians across the city, Noida Authority will soon be building 24 foot overbridges (FOBs) along major city roads.
Residents of new sectors, especially, have been demanding these FOBs for a long time now.
A senior official of Noida Authority told City Spidey that 13 FOBs would be built in the first phase and that the rest of the 11 in the second. “A survey is being carried out by the Authority to mark out the roads where these FOBs will be built. It will be completed soon,” the official said.
After the survey is done, the Authority will hire a private agency to build the FOBs. This private agency will be selected through Expression of Interest (EOI), which Noida Authority will make available to private agencies soon.
According to Noida Authority officials, work on the first 13 FOBs will start within two or three months. The Authority intends to complete all of the work in the next 18 months.
