Gurgaon, Sec 69-70: HUDA visit stirs hope

Finally, a ray of hope for residents of sectors 69 and 70, Gurgaon.

HUDA administrator Yaspal Yadav paid a visit to the sectors yesterday afternoon to understand their persistent problems.

RWA members, along with a few residents from Tulip and GPL Eden Heights, interacted with Yadav, updating him on various issues that the sectors had been facing for a long time.

Amit Saxena from Tulip White said, “This visit has brought us hope; it was long due. We hope we’ll be able to achieve efficient and solution-oriented decisions.”

On the issue of infrastructure development, Yadav said, “We are connecting the sectors to the Southern Peripheral Road [SPR] project. Work has already begun. We are trying to expedite the delay caused by the contractor. We expect the road to be ready in three months.”

Lauding the move, another resident of Tulip White, Pradeep Yadav, said, “Possession of land for connecting sectors 69 and 70 to SPR has already been completed! We are really excited.”

Ajay Sharma, resident of Ivory Towers, added, “We hope Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority [GMDA] will ensure better coordination between various agencies working for the improvement of the city.”

Speaking to City Spidey, Yadav said, “The problem of sewage is directly connected to roads. We are focused on resolving this issue — if builders can come together to improve the roads, other things, too, will fall in place, besides improving connectivity.”
