It also made the area more beautiful...
The AOA of Krishna Apra Garden in Indirapuram has started improving the society's landscape. Over the past few days, the resident body carried out a tree-planting drive inside the society premises and on the central verges of roads in the neighbourhood. Speaking to City Spidey, Mohit Dwivedi, president of the society’s AOA, said today was the last day of the drive.
“The plants were acquired from GDA," said Dwivedi. "Vikas Nagpal, a society resident, and the six gardeners of the society carried out the entire drive. The township needs lots of trees to keep the neighborhood clean and free from pollution.”
Speaking to City Spidey, Nagpal said the primary focus was on the verge of the road running parallel to NH 24. “The highway is soon going to be widened. During widening, the existing trees on the roadsides will be cut down, and this will expose the area to noise and air pollution from the busy highway. The trees on the vcerge of the road parallel to the highway will act as a defence against pollution from the highway,” Nagpal explained.
"In addition to the trees we usually plant, we added 50 jackfruit trees this time," said Nagpal.
