Antriksh Golf View II residents complain against illegal construction

Residents of Antriksh Golf View II, a residential society in Sector 78, Noida, and members of Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA), met Amit Mohan Prasad, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Noida Authority, on Monday. They apprised the CEO of the illegal construction carried out by the builder in the society and demanded strict action against the developer.

Residents said the builder had constructed 140 flats illegally. “The builder has taken the Authority's permission to construct only 910 flats, but there are a total of 1,050 flats in the project,” residents said.

Annu Khan, president of NEFOWA, told City Spidey that the builder gave possession of flats to buyers without taking the occupancy and completion certificates from Noida Authority. “The builder is yet to get the flats registered, and residents have the status of illegal occupants according to the UP Apartment Act, 2010,” he added.

Khan also said the developer had created a parking slot in place of a green area. “There are no CCTV cameras installed and very few security guards to keep watch on the society,” Khan added.

Residents also alleged that they had discussed the issue with officials of Noida Authority several times. “In May, we met Shishir Singh, the previous ACEO of Noida Authority, and he assured us that he would take action against the developer but nothing was done,” residents said.

"The CEO has now assured us that he will get an inspection of the project done this week and take suitable action against the developer," said Khan.
