The lane behind Vinayak Apartments in Sector 10
The Vinayak Apartments RWA (VRWA) in Sector 10, Dwarka, has been regularly holding meetings with the authorities and area representatives on a host of issues, including garbage disposal, dustbins, streetlights and others.
Any impact? Nope!
VRWA president, Rakesh Kalsi, said, “The sweepers don’t clean the back lane. Without lights, it’s completely dark after sundown. We also need more dustbins from the municipal corporation.”
A DDA park in the area has also become a source of concern.
VRWA secretary, Dr MC Jain, said, “The park is not maintained at all — there’s no light, there’s weed everywhere. It has become a hub of antisocial elements. We request DDA to make some arrangements for lights — and carry out minimum maintenance in the park.”
Kalsi is still waiting for mail response from South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). “We have written about the extra bins, cleaning of the area and lights. We have also written to the area MLA. Let’s see what happens,” she added.
