GDA mandates safety inspection for Crossings Republik

To ensure safety in the high-rise apartments of Crossings Republik, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has asked Crossings Infrastructure Private Limited (CIPL), the developer, to examine the condition of firefighting systems, lift safety, electrical safety and solid-waste management on the premises.

The Authority has also asked for a declaration from individual developers of the consortium, saying that the terms and conditions of the various NOCs are being followed. The declaration is to be submitted after proper examination of the various safety systems.

Speaking to City Spidey, residents of Crossings Republik said such initiatives were appreciable, but only if they werw acted upon. “Not the developer alone, GDA, too, is to be held responsible for various lapses in the safety systems,” said a resident.

An official of CIPL said they had already assigned their fire-safety experts to check the status of the safety equipment in the societies. “We have also communicated the issue to individual societies. The societies can come forward and ask CIPL for an inspection if necessary,” the official added.
