Gurgaon, Jharsa: Sewage line burst causes road to cave in

A ruptured sewage line at Jharsa caused a small portion of the road to cave in, leading to traffic diversions.

The authorities have swung into action, and repair work has already started.

Commuters between Jharsa and Sector 15 are the worst affected, and they have been advised to avoid this crossing for the next couple of days. However, commuters coming towards Jharsa from NH 8 will be able to use the slip road.

Speaking to City Spidey, deputy commissioner of police (traffic), Simardeep Singh, said, “We are trying our best to get the road operational as quickly as possible, but are unable to provide a definite timeline at the moment.”

“This road is broken at so many places. Just a few months into repair and the condition is back to square one. Until they start using quality construction material, the road will given in again,” said Mamta Sharma, a resident of Sector 15.
