Commuters have been facing a tortuous time navigating the Master Plan 2 road between Sector 60 and Sector 28 owing to dust pollution.

Daily commuters said the problem was due to dumping of loose soil on the 4.8-km road to repair the road below. They also said that trucks had been dumping soil for the past two weeks.

Sunita Kumar, a resident of Sector 28, told City Spidey, "They should sprinkle water on the road to ensure that the commuters and peolpe living in the area are not inconvenienced."

Sanjeev Sharma, a daily commuter, said that dust gets into their eyes and passing through the stretch was an ordeal. “During night, it is impossible to see through the blanket of dust in the air," he rued.

SC Mishra, project engineer of Noida Authority told City Spidey that the problem worsened over the weekends. "We sprinkle water on the road but that is clearly not enough," said Mishra. "We are filling the central verge on the road due to which soil falls on the road. The work will end as soon as the work ends, which is soon."
