Noida: Buyers of Logix Blossom Greens scammed over possession dates

The developer of Logix Blossom Green, a residential society in Sector 143, Noida, has been caught on the wrong foot.

Possession of all flats is to happen by July 2018, says a report submitted to Noida Authority. But according to details with RERA, the project is to be completed by December 2021.

Buyers are now in a quandary.

According to the report submitted to Noida Authority, of the 22 towers under the project Blossom Greens, eight are complete and the developer has already received their completion certificates. The process of handover is already under way.

The report further says the developer is to complete pending civil work for the remaining 14 towers, and the entire project is to be handed over by July 2018.

But the developer has also registered the project with RERA, and December 31, 2021, is mentioned as the deadline there.

Vinod Pahlawat, a buyer, complained, “This is nothing but misguiding the buyers and the authorities. There are no lifts in towers R and T — there’s no electricity and no Ganga jal connection, but Noida Authority still issued completion and occupancy certificates to the developer. Why did the officials not check the amenities before issuing the certificates?”

On August 18, buyers will hold a protest in front of the Noida Authority office in Sector 6. “We’ll demand a final date of possession from Noida Authority. We’ll also send a team of buyers to Lucknow to meet UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the issue,” he added.

When City Spidey contacted Mayank Kumar Pandey, assistant manager (legal) of Logix Group, he said, “We’ll meet the deadline given to Noida Authority. We mentioned the date of completion as December 2021 with RERA to avoid paying 10 per cent of the project cost to the government as penalty in case we failed to meet the July deadline.”
